2011 Homebase Abroad Contest Rules
One grand prize winner will receive a $500 credit toward Guest Services to be enjoyed during a Villa Vacation in a Homebase Abroad property before the end of 2012. This prize may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
Three runners up will receive signed copies of Artist Robert Miller’s book, Positano Collages.

Contest begins at 12 p.m. EST on March 2, 2011, and ends on April 1, 2011, at 5 p.m. EST. All entries must be submitted online before 5 p.m. EST on April 1, 2011.
To enter the contest, simply send your guesstimate for the actual number of stairs in Positano to blog@homebaseabroad.com by April 1. Whomever is closest (up or down, decided by Homebase Abroad judges) will receive a gift of USD $500 to be applied toward your next Homebase Abroad trip to the Coast. We will split the award in case of a tie. Use it towards the villa, a private boat hire, cooking services, whatever you most desire. Entries must be received before 5 p.m. EST on April 1, 2011.
By participating in the contest, you (i) agree to be bound by these official rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the contest. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the contest. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from the contest any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules and (ii) withdraw the method of entry if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the contest) and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal.
Homebase Abroad is not responsible for technical failures in entry transmission or any damage to participants’ computers relating to information about or participation in the promotion. Legal warning: any attempt by an individual, whether or not an entrant, to deliberately damage, destroy, tamper, or vandalize this website or interfere with the operation of the contest, is a violation of criminal and civil laws and sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and diligently pursue all remedies against any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.
One grand prize winner and three runners up will be chosen by Assunta Cinque and Pasquale Fusco via Homebase Abroad. Judges’ decisions are final and may not be appealed. Winners will be notified by phone, or e-mail by April 15, 2011. If any winner is unreachable, or if prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of noncompliance with any of these requirements, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be substituted, but prizes of equal or greater value may be supplied by Sponsors at Sponsors’ sole discretion.
An IRS Form 1099 will be issued to all prize recipients for any prize valued at $600 or more. For a list of winners, available after June 15, 2011, send a stamped self-addressed envelope to 2011 Homebase Abroad Positano Contest Two Hooper Street, Marblehead, MA 01945.
The contest is subject to all local, state, and federal regulations. By entering the contest, entrant holds harmless Homebase Abroad LLC from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, liability, actions, or damages of any kind, or in connection with: (i) entering the contest (ii) acceptance of any prize, or (iii) anything related to the contest and the awarding of prizes.
